Play In A Book teaching artists help bring stories to life using their expertise in drama, storytelling, and directing. If you value working with K-8 students and introducing them to elements of stagecraft and video production, we would love to hear from you.
Play In A Book is an arts education company utilizing drama and video making to support literacy and social emotional learning with PreK-Grade 8 students. We are currently hiring for ten-week residencies within CPS for the 2023-2024 academic year. Our ideal teaching artist holds a degree in the performing arts or film production and has a strong desire to share their skills with our younger students. This position starts at 10+ hours per week working both during the school day and after school, and will include at least one PreK class as well as additional classes with K-2 students. Strong skills in social emotional learning and maintaining a safe and creative classroom environment are required. Resumes will be accepted through August 4, 2023 and interviews will be scheduled August 7th - August 8th.
